Description: In 2004, Ravens Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed had intercepted a pass 106 yards for a touchdown, the longest such return in NFL history. On a November afternoon in Baltimore in 2008, roughly four years later, that record would be broken – by Reed himself. Leading 22-7 midway through the fourth quarter, the Ravens were trying to prevent a comeback by the Eagles, who had a second-and-goal on the Baltimore 1. Eagles QB Kevin Kolb faked a handoff and tossed the ball into the end zone, intended for receiver Reggie Brown. Reed picked it off and without hesitation raced in the other direction. Around the Baltimore 25, near the right sideline, Kolb attempted a tackle, which Reed easily avoided. Reed broke another tackle, and sprinted off down the sideline before encountering Eagles TE Brent Celek at the Philadelphia 25. Reed broke left, beating Celek and motoring into the end zone for a new league record: an interception return of 107 yards.
